I don’t know about you, but I love a good homemade Jam. The variety of flavors and uses is incredible. From basic jam for toast to fillings for crepes, I’ve even made stews with specific jams (these Jams I usually buy from local farmers markets as they aren’t standard berry jams).

Making berry jam is fairly simple, the recipe is short and easy to follow. Plus, you can use any berry you want, yum. As an added bonus, there’s no extra crap hidden in the jam when you make it homemade, you know every ingredient. My favorite would have to be black raspberry jam.

Fresh berries is always the best choice, though store bought is fine too. I usually check my local farmers markets before buying in store. Maybe I’m picky or strange but I feel like the berries at the farmers market bring more to the recipe. They add extra love and care from the farmers and I feel like that’s a noticeable ingredient that store berries lack.
What’s your favorite jam? Let me know in the comments!
